Terms of Service

1. What the service is
FirmCited provides marketing-technology and content services to law firms: AI visibility (answer engine optimization) audits and installs, AI intake chatbots, and ongoing content and monitoring. We are a technology and marketing vendor. We are not your lawyer. Nothing we produce is legal advice, and using this site or our services creates no attorney-client relationship.
2. What we guarantee — and what we never do
In writing, on every engagement, we guarantee:
- Every deliverable, on the stated timeline
- Lead response in under 60 seconds
- Transparent monthly share-of-voice reporting
What we never guarantee: Specific AI citations or rankings — no honest vendor can. AI answer engines are non-deterministic systems we do not own or control; their outputs shift with model updates and phrasing. Any promise of a specific citation, ranking, lead volume, or case outcome is outside what any vendor can deliver, and we make no such promise. We explain why here.
3. Payment and refunds
- Audit ($490). The AI Visibility Audit is payable in advance and is non-refundable once the report has been delivered. Its price credits in full toward any install started within 60 days of delivery.
- Installs (Starter, Pro, Elite). Installs are payable in advance. If you cancel before Day 3 of the engagement, you receive a pro-rata refund for work not yet performed. From Day 3 onward, once substantive work is underway, fees are non-refundable.
- Growth Retainer ($2,000/month). The retainer bills monthly. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing month; we do not pro-rate a partial month, and we complete that month’s deliverables.
- Chargebacks. Please raise any billing concern with us first — we resolve legitimate issues quickly and in good faith.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing and approving content before it publishes, for the accuracy of information you give us about your firm, and for ensuring that what we publish on your behalf complies with your jurisdiction’s attorney-advertising and professional-conduct rules. We build to those rules and flag risks, but final compliance responsibility for your firm’s marketing rests with your firm.
5. Support
Support is provided asynchronously — by email and through the project channel we set up for your engagement. We do not offer phone or on-call support. Asynchronous communication keeps everything in writing, which protects both sides and is how we keep the price where it is.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirmCited is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the site or services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim in the preceding 12 months. The services are provided “as is,” without warranties beyond those expressly stated in these terms.
7. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction — to be finalized], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update these terms as the service evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
